About us

Dear Creative,

Kent School of Fashion is a creative provision based in Aylesham, East Kent.

We provide practical, inspiring and accessible opportunities in fashion, sewing, textiles, design, robotics and creative making for children, young people and adults. What began as a small fashion and sewing school has grown into a wider creative provision serving learners of all ages.

Alongside our adult programmes, we proudly deliver creative opportunities for children and young people aged 6–16 through our not-for-profit organisation, Kent Junior School of Fashion & Arts.

Across both organisations, our programmes include fashion and design, robotics and engineering, Arts Award, community projects, creative skills development and pathways that inspire confidence, creativity and lifelong learning.

At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief, creativity can change lives.

We believe everyone should have access to high-quality creative opportunities, regardless of their age, background, experience or learning journey.

Our aim is to create welcoming spaces where people can discover new skills, express their ideas, build confidence and develop their creativity in ways that are practical, meaningful and empowering.

Whether someone is taking their very first sewing class, exploring robotics, developing a portfolio or simply learning for the joy of making, we are committed to helping every learner realise their potential through creativity.

Our Mission

To become a leading inclusive creative education hub where creatives from all backgrounds can access high quality creative and technical learning, develop skills for personal growth, connect with industry, and build meaningful futures within the creative industries.

Our Vision

To provide accessible, inclusive and industry-informed creative education that empowers learners to develop confidence, technical skills, creativity and future opportunities through fashion, arts, design and emerging creative technologies.
