Happy young creatives

Creative Classes

Our provision for children and young people aged 6 to 16 is entirely not-for-profit and rooted in community benefit. We are driven by a shared belief in the power of creativity to transform lives.

We use the skills, care, and creativity of our staff and volunteers to support mental wellbeing, celebrate diversity, and build a strong sense of belonging. Our spaces are safe, inclusive, and nurturing places where every child and young person feels seen, valued, and confident that their ideas, dreams, and identities matter.

Through weekly creative sessions, fashion shows, educational trips, and cultural experience, we give young people opportunities to learn, explore, and see the world beyond their immediate surroundings.

We encourage our young people to dream and support them to turn those dreams into reality by developing skills, confidence, and belief in their own potential.

Imagination is nurtured, voices are heard, and futures begin to take shape.

Our two creative pathways

KJSF brings together two broad areas of learning.

Arts, Fashion and Making

Fashion, Sewing, Design, Art & Mixed Media

Our Art and Fashion provision introduces children and young people to the world of creative practice through:

fashion design, sewing, textiles, garment construction, art, drawing, painting, mixed media, surface design, photography, creative media and making.

Young people learn practical skills while developing their own ideas, creative voice and confidence.

Programmes range from introductory creative experiences through to more advanced portfolio and qualification pathways.

Creative Inventors Academy CIA

STEAM, Coding, Robotics & Creative Innovation

Our Creative Inventors Academy brings creativity into science and technology. Young people explore areas including coding, robotics, engineering, invention, digital making, problem-solving and emerging technologies through practical projects. Rather than simply consuming technology, we encourage young people to understand it, question it and create with it. The programme brings together imagination and technical thinking, helping learners recognise that creativity belongs in engineering, science and technology just as much as it belongs in an art studio.

The Kent school of fashion has offered lots of amazing trips, taught lots of skills and built up my daughter’s confidence. Very grateful for the club.

This school made my daughter's summer! After worrying about the cost of doing "things" through the summer, this made a wonderful summer for her. She loves being creative and there's such a lack of places to go that embrace learning in a fun way. She loves the fact that her new skill will make an impact on the environment by helping her reuse and mend too!!
Thank you.

My daughter attends Kent School of Fashion and absolutely loves it! She can’t wait to go back each week — it’s genuinely a highlight of her week. The club is incredible and offers so much more than I ever imagined.I've been completely blown away by the creativity, care, and effort that goes into every single session. The quality of what the children produce is amazing and a real credit to the thought and planning behind the scenes.
Tolumi and all the team are just brilliant — so kind, helpful, and approachable. They create such a warm, welcoming environment where kids feel supported, encouraged, and free to express themselves. I can’t recommend the Kent School of Fashion enough. It’s a truly special place that nurtures imagination and confidence in the most wonderful way.
