Parent & Child Creative Workshop

Fashion Dolls:
Make, Dress & Tell Stories

Join fashion designer and educator Penny Warner for a fun, relaxed and imaginative parent-and-child workshop where families will make and personalise their own soft fashion doll to take home.

Using fabric scraps, recycled materials, simple sewing techniques and plenty of imagination, families will create a unique doll character inspired by fashion, storytelling, creativity and play.

Starting with a simple doll template, children and grown-ups will sew, stuff and assemble their doll before bringing it to life with hairstyles, facial features, clothing, accessories and decorative details using ribbons, buttons, trims and recycled materials.

Families will have the opportunity to design outfits for their doll, develop its character and personality, and sketch additional fashion ideas to continue the creative journey at home.

Along the way, you and your child will explore creativity, sustainability, self-expression and the joy of making together.

This relaxed, hands-on workshop is suitable for children and parents of all abilities and offers a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time together while creating a unique keepsake to take home.
