Fashion, Sewing, Design, Art & Mixed Media

Young Designer programmes help children and young people aged 8–16 become confident creative thinkers, designers and makers.

Through art, fashion, sewing, textiles, design and mixed media, young people explore ideas, develop practical skills and learn how to take something from imagination to a finished outcome through hands-on creative projects.

CREATE • DESIGN • MAKE

Ideas become something real.

Raising Young Designers for a Creative Future

Young people are naturally imaginative.
They draw, make, customise, experiment, build identities and develop ideas about the world around them.

We believe they should have opportunities to take that creativity further.

Our programmes for young designers and artists are created to give children and young people access to the skills, equipment, materials, specialist teaching and creative spaces that allow them to explore their ideas properly.

Through fashion, art, textiles, sewing, design and mixed-media practice, young people learn to observe, experiment, problem-solve and make.

We want our Young Designers to become confident creative thinkers who understand that their ideas have value and that, with the right skills, they can turn those ideas into something real.

Whether creativity becomes a lifelong interest, a qualification, further study or a future career, we want every learner to have the opportunity to discover where their creativity could take them.
